Triga Creative’s Inaugral Eco-Design Charrette, programmed in partnership with The Centre for Sustainable Practice in the Arts, centred around the creation of seed concepts for 50 Climate Change Theatre Action Plays. In order to support this work and create a context for the cross pollination of ideas, Triga Creative curated a series of workshops, panel conversations, play readings and open studio time. The charrette culminated the global participatory Climate Change Theatre Action Festival with an open studio exhibition where we shared the work created during the three-week charrette residency with the local Toronto community. The designs were also exhibited as part of the DesignTO 2020 Festival. This work will be published in a two-part volume by Centre for Sustainable Practices in the Arts in 2021. This Sector Innovation and Development Project was made possible by the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
